Cape Fear Crawl Spaces was the last of four companies that inspected my crawl space. My primary concern was the high relative humidity and above acceptable ranges for the subfloor and joist temperatures. As with the first three companies, I accompanied the inspector into the crawl space.
I thought that Travis Lapp of Cape Fear Crawl Spaces provided the best options for my situation. Additionally, the provided options were much more affordable than the other three companies. I wasn’t seeking a “quick fix”, but rather one that would fully address my situation and prevent damage to my home in the future.

I would like to share my experience in dealing with Cape Fear Crawl Space. First of all, it is a small owner operated biz where the owner Travis is very hands on from start to finish. Secondly the price is RIGHT! I shopped the big companies and received two bids, but Cape Fear blew them away by about 30% less for a complete encapsulation including dehumidifier.
The customer service that Travis and company display is top notch and communication was on point.
I never realized how important a clean and dry crawlspace can be in eliminating pest and insect issues but now I know better.
I own a rental property and once I had our main home encapsulated by Cape Fear Crawl Space with such great results, I then called them out to do our rental too!

Highly recommend Travis and Cape Fear Crawl Spaces! I called later in the day and spoke with him letting him know our crawlspace had just taken in water due to a freak really heavy thunderstorm and he came out the same day to assess the situation and was back first thing in the morning to pump 1000 gallons of water out for us.
